Miss Michigan won this year, quite unfortunately. Can you believe it? Can you believe they chose her as Miss USA? She tripped during the evening gown competition and she won! Incredible! Unbelivable! Well, stranger things have happened at Miss USA beauty-yeah right! I thought beauty is only skin deep-pageants.
As for me, I hate beauty pageants! They are full of brainless airheads prancing around looking pretty-they're actual atrocious. I'll bet the criteria is for the ladies-is that even the right word for it?-to be elegant and tall. I especially hate the bathing suit competion. Why would they wear high heels with their swimsuit-a bikini at that! It's kind of male chauvinist, if you ask me. Maybe cause it's run by a man? Men are all like this. Maybe beauty pageants are invited by men to make a mockery of women.
Women shouldn't be subjected to beauty pageants. They are so superficial, which means if you are in one you yourself is superficial and shallow, caring only about your appearance and not your values, your sense of self-worth.You ladies can do better than that; you can achieve so much more than parading around in this or that outfit.You got a brain-that is, I hope you do- so use it if you don't want people to take advantage of your superficiality or shallowness. Or just don't let people walk all over you.
