Role Model

You know who my role model is? Taylor 'Fearless' Swift. She isn't afraid of taking chances, and she doesn't have to be mean to get to the top. Even though she won all these awards, it hadn't inflated her ego. This just proves that nice girls can win; they don't always finish last. She is a shining example for all of Young Hollywood/Nashville types, who has turned to drugs, alcohol, you name it, they tried it. She didn't became an overnite sensation overnite, but she had to work at it. She kept going at it; she had perseverance.

I could name a dozen other ladies that were like Taylor Swift who started when they were young (Janis Joplin, Joan Jett to name a couple) Joan Jett and Janis Joplin started in the music biz way, way before I was born. In the 80s (the 80s rock!), there was Debbie Gibson and Tiffany. And the 90s have the blondes babes: Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, (who became a brunette so that she can stand out) and last but definitely not least (we can't forget) Britney Spears, (whose life lately has been marred by the tabs)! Speaking of the tabs, most of the 90s female pop singers' life has been scrutinized by the paparazzi and becomes tabloid fodder. No celebrity, whether female or male should live their life that way. Now with hi-tech technology like the internet people could get info about celebs not only from tabloids but from the world wide web. The Internet could be a dangerous tool in the wrong hand, but use wisely, it could be very useful like knowing when and where to dispatch an emergency call.

  1. You have a great role model. Taylor Swift has had an incredible journey to success and really knows who she is. (and she is so young!) I would love to hear about other people you admire.
